Emma Hapner’s distinctive self-portraits are turning heads at the Anderson Contemporary’s latest exhibition, “Generations.” Known for her vibrant use of color, Hapner’s latest works feature her in a cowboy hat adorned with hearts, set against a backdrop of intense Barbie pink. Her direct stare engages the audience, making a bold statement about identity and self-perception.
The exhibition, which showcases a diverse range of styles and themes by various artists, was opened until March 12 at 180 Maiden Lane. Visitors were expected to be drawn into a visual dialogue with Hapner’s daring and colorful depictions of herself.
