Maxwell Stevens is a contemporary American artist best known for his layered paintings that combine abstract textured shapes with hyper-realistic figures. Maxwell graduated from SCAD Atlanta in 2006 and was classically trained in figure studies. His new series, “Last Days of Summer,” is based on a series of his photographs taken at the beach over the years, and depicts everyday life.
