Tianshu Zhang Interviewed by CanvasRebel Magazine

Our collaborative artist, Tianshu Zhang, was recently interviewed by CanvasRebel about her work and creative journey.

Tianshu Zhang is a painter who resides and studies in New York. Her semi-abstract figurative paintings, done with a mix of traditional painting and drawing techniques; including oil, acrylics, charcoal, and pastel, are frequently influenced by dreams, recollections, and all types of theatrical performances. Tianshu’s paintings, which feature deformed, exaggerated human forms and enigmatic environments, examine issues of human nature, emotions, and aspirations. Tianshu received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2017 and moved to New York in 2021 to pursue her Master of Fine Arts degree at the School of Visual Arts, which she recently obtained.
