VillageOneArt is proud to announce global representation of multidisciplinary painter Chukwuemeka Anthony Chukwu.

Chukwuemeka Anthony Chukwu (born 1998) continuously bridges disciplines from his upbringing, critical interests of gaming, technology, culture, and architecture. He primarily paints and makes a selective addition of complementary media like tape and collage, with moments of them applied to 3D elements; at times he does a bit of storytelling of mini experiences. His work may be charged with, and spark discussions surrounding, race, housing developments, and how they intersect with his reality. He envisions this as complementary to the very intuitive creative processes he arrives at.

Chukwuemeka moved from Nigeria in 2016 to study architecture at the Maryland Institute College of Art and pursued his MFA at the School of Visual Arts, NY. He has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, including his solo show at VillageOneArt, Tactical Potato. His work has been widely reported by various media outlets. In addition, his art has been acquired by important collections, as well as private collectors and organizations in the Asian region.

Chukwuemeka’s work has since also been shown at VillageOneArt in Mercurial (solo, 2024) and the gallery’s 2024 group exhibition Stretched Out.
