With her first solo presentation in New York City, Khurieva Presented paintings from the past two years that displayed a surreal sensation alongside bold colors and organic forms. Khurieva’s compositions are filled with abstract figures that open up the possibility of imagination. Although Khurieva drew from a childlike and humorous sense of wonder, her art shows a strong conceptual rigor and technical excellence combing to a great effect in her debut solo exhibition. Inga Khurieva’s Dream Worlds offers a contemporary take on surrealism for a new generation of dreamers and artists.
