Lives and works in Shenyang, China
Deng Xiao (b. 1986, China) combines divergent artistic styles — Neoclassicism and Surrealism — to create new meanings and forge his own visual language: a fusion that challenges traditional notions, breaks the boundaries of art, and produces captivating, thought-provoking work.
He earned his BFA from the College of Fine Arts, Jilin Normal University (2009) and his MFA in Oil Painting from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts (2012), the same year he debuted with a solo exhibition at Ba Da Gallery, Beijing. In 2025, VillageOneArt presented One Hundred Years of Solitude, his second solo exhibition with the gallery.
