The collaborating artist of VillageOneArt, Xianglong Li, participated in the Beijing Contemporary Art Expo Reunion.

XiangLong Li (b.1995) earned his BFA in Illustrated Book degree from China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2018, and received MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 2020.

In his body of work, Xianglong Li incorporates design and remixing of images, texts, and 3D model materials from pop-culture, social events, and the internet. His projects are replete with dark humor, satirizing cultural mistranslation and the cultural discrepancies between the East and the West. Li employs digital collages, painting, and graphic design to expose the fractured social norms of racism and western settler violence.

“I am thrilled to be part of this incredible event and to have the opportunity to showcase my works alongside some of the most talented artists in the world,” said Li. “I hope to use this platform to continue to challenge traditional notions of art and inspire others to explore new forms of expression.”

The Beijing Art Expo, now in its 10th year, is one of the most prominent art events in Asia, attracting artists and collectors from around the world. This year’s event will feature a diverse range of contemporary works, including painting, sculpture, and installation art.Visitors can experience Li’s thought-provoking works, as well as those of other talented artists, and explore the latest trends in contemporary art.
