Even though Timon I grew up in a quieter world, before social media, when information came slowly and deliberately, his mind has never been a quiet place. It has always been chaotic, like an uncontrollable machine, with thousands of images flooding in, shaped in part by growing up with dyslexia. Now he sees glimpses of that same chaos reflected in the world around him: in the endless scrolling, the constant noise, and the inability to stop or look away.
Like a child lost in a maze searching for who he is, he looks for clues: his memory, instinct, and emotion, things that anchor him. His multi-paintings are his answer to the overwhelm, and each canvas is a single moment he decided to sit with. In making them, he is growing up, learning to live with it.
His paintings move between the fantastical and the everyday, folding gritty urban scenes into expansive landscapes through cleverly formatted picture planes — alternating narrow vertical panels with slim horizontal ones to build multi-perspectival, quietly narrative compositions.
In 2024, VillageOneArt presented Intermingling, a solo exhibition of new paintings mingling natural and urban environments through a neo-Cubist perspective. His first solo presentation with the gallery, Elements In Space, was held in 2023.
